Poulsen joins Denmark's FIFA World Cup 2022 roster, bringing the total to 26 players.
Yussuf Poulsen of RB Leipzig and Christian Norgaard of Brentford have been selected for the Danish World Cup squad as coach Kasper Hjulmand completes the final five additions to his starting lineup. The tournament will take place in Qatar. After revealing 21 of his 26 players last week, Hjulmand has chosen the last three players: Union Berlin goalkeeper Frederik Ronnow, Benfica midfielder Alexander Bah, and Hoffenheim defender Robert Skov. The World Cup squad is finally complete, and I'm thrilled about that, said Hjulmand.
It has been challenging to let other players know that they are not on the team when there are possibilities because there are also opt-outs.
We now eagerly anticipate coming together and engaging in a week of practice prior to the first game.
The first team announcement featured several players, including captain Simon Kjaer and playmaker Christian Eriksen, who has fully recovered from the heart attack he sustained in Copenhagen before Euro 2020.
The Danes, who will be competing in their sixth World Cup finals, face Tunisia to open the tournament on November 22 before facing France, the defending champion, four days later.
