Poland defeats Saudi Arabia 2-0 and takes first place in Group C.

At the Education City Stadium in Qatar on Saturday, Poland defeated Saudi Arabia 2-0 to win their Group C match of the FIFA World Cup 2022. Poland took a 1-0 lead in the 39th minute on a goal from Piotr Zielinski, and Wojciech Szczesny made a superb penalty save just before halftime to keep the score that way. Robert Lewandowski has finally scored his first goal in the FIFA WorldCup after four appearances without a goal and 14 shots that went wide.
Saudis pay the price for careless mistakes and a missed penalty.  Saudi Arabia can still qualify, and Poland is now in first place.
