Olivier Giroud stunningly breaks Thierry Henry's record.At the FIFA World Cup 2022 encounter between France and Poland

Thierry Henry's previous record was broken by experienced striker Olivier Giroud on Sunday at the Al Thumama Stadium in Qatar during France's critical match against Robert Lewandowski's Poland, writing his name into history and sealing his place in FIFA World Cup 2022 history. In the 44th minute of the game against Poland, French forward Giroud scored the game's first goal to give the defending world champions a much-needed advantage.
Giroud,  former Arsenal player, now holds the record for most goals scored in France history. 52 goals have been scored by Giroud for the two-time world winners. The AC Milan player has surpassed Henry, a legend of Arsenal, to become the all-time greatest scorer for Les Bleus . The former Chelsea attacker had earlier scored in France's opening FIFA World Cup 2022 victory over Australia to tie Henry's record of 51 goals. In France's opening game of the season against Australia, Giroud scored two goals that gave his team the victory.
