Morocco stun Spain on penalties, advancing to the quarterfinals

Yassine Bounou was in outstanding form as Morocco defeated Spain 3-0 on penalties following a 0-0 draw in extra time of their Round of 16 match at the Education City Stadium in Qatar.
. Spain had the most opportunities to score first, but Morocco's vigilant defense kept the game from going into overtime.
Alvaro Morata and Walid Cheddira both missed numerous opportunities as the game moved into penalty kicks. After Sarabia missed Spain's opening attempt, Sevilla goalkeeper Bounou prevailed to save Soler and Busquets in the shootout.
Following a 120-minute 0-0 tie, Achraf Hakimi converted the game-winning penalty kick with a panenka after Spain missed all three of their attempts.Yassine Bounou made three saves in the shootout as his team prevailed 3-0.
For the first time ever, the African team has reached the quarterfinals of  World Cup. In the last eight, they will play either Portugal or Switzerland, who play later on Tuesday.
