Gakpo's deal with an EPL team was said to be "99.9% agreed."

According to Leeds manager Jesse Marsch, they came close to signing Cody Gakpo from PSV in the summer. After negotiations, the Premier League team believes they had a "99.9%" agreed-upon arrangement. Gakpo ultimately remained with the Dutch club after the trade fell through.
After his outstanding achievements at the 2022 World Cup, Marsch now acknowledges that it will be challenging to sign the forward.
