FIFA World Cup: Is Busquets the last of the

From 2008 to 2012, the "Golden Generation" of the Spanish men's national football team played. Two European championships and a World Cup were won during this time by the La Rojas.
One of the most talented World Cups in competitive history, Spain's 2010 edition had an abundance of skill. There were experts at every position. Spain was a nightmare for the opposition, with Iker Casillas in goal, Sergio Ramos and Gerard Pique at center back, Xavi Hernandez and Andres Iniesta at midfield, and the prolific David Villa at striker.
But since 2012, Spain has not taken home any significant international honors. The charm of the "Golden Generation" has not been re-created by its current players.
Only Sergio Busquets, a member of Spain's "Golden Generation," is still on the roster as the FIFA World Cup in Qatar draws closer than ever.
One of the greatest defensive midfielders in football history is without a doubt Sergio Busquets. Busquets has been in charge of protecting his backline and serving as the link to turn defense into attack for a considerable amount of time. Busquets, however, is not the same player he once was. Busquets, who is turning 34, exhibits age-related rusty indications.
Spain has a talented defensive midfielder in Rodri who has been excellent with his club, Manchester City. However, Enrique said that Busquets remains an integral cog in the midfield machinery of Spain.
Given his enormous expertise, Busquets continues to play an important role for Barcelona and Spain despite his advanced age. Given his significance, Luis Enrique, the head coach of Spain, indicated he will make an effort to persuade Busquets to participate in the upcoming World Cup.
"He reminds me of Rafa Nadal [tennis player]. Busquets is like Nadal, the best in the world if we are able to play like we want to, in the opposing half and pressing effectively, but if the team is overworked and the game opens up, no. But I can't think of a better pivot elsewhere in the world for the way we play," remarked Enrique.
