England defender Ben White returns to Arsenal training after early World Cup exit

After leaving the England World Cup squad early for personal reasons, Ben White has returned to training with Arsenal. White missed England's victory over Wales due to illness and did not play in either of their first two group games. The 25-year-old was reported to have left the England camp the next day by the Football Association. Thomas Partey of Ghana and Matt Turner of the United States are both back in the Arsenal's training program.
Manager Gareth Southgate said the following before Saturday's 2-1 quarterfinal loss to France: "Ben departed for private reasons. We made that very clear, and I believe it is crucial that a situation like that be respected, especially in this day and age."
