Cristiano Ronaldo receives stern criticism from Wayne Rooney for being "not acceptable for Manchester United."

The captain of Portugal has recently come under a lot of criticism due to Cristiano Ronaldo's terrible season at Manchester United. Even former teammate Wayne Rooney jumped on board and advised the striker to put his head down and work.
Ronney remarked in a TalkSport interview: "Just focus on your work and be ready to play whenever the manager wants you, Cristiano. He will be helpful if he does it. If not, it will become an unwelcome diversion."
"You can agree or disagree that he and Messi are the two greatest players of all time, depending on your perspective. The things he has done, in my opinion, from the beginning of the campaign are simply unacceptable for Manchester United "The former England player said.
Even after Roy Keane defended him, Ronaldo retaliated by attacking the former United captain. "I've seen Roy Keane speak up for him. Roy would not consent to that. Roy would in no way consent to such. Manchester United doesn't need the distraction right now as they work to rebuild "He stated.
Manchester United has 23 points and is presently ranked fifth in the Premier League (seven wins, two draws and four defeats). Rooney concluded by providing his assessment of Erik Ten Hag's time as United boss "Ten Hag has done a great job, in my opinion. I'm beginning to see an identity with Manchester United that I haven't seen in the past two or three years for the first time since he arrived and imposed his authority on the group. He is the best candidate for the job. Finishing in the top four and receiving Champions League football again, in my opinion, will take some time, but it's a tremendous step in the right direction."
