Costa Rica beat Japan 1-0 in their second Group E match.

After losing their opening match to Spain by a score of 0-7, Costa Rica turned things around by defeating Japan 1-0 in their Group E FIFA World Cup 2022 match on Sunday at the Ahmed bin Ali Stadium in Qatar.
Keysher Fuller's goal in the 81st minute gave Costa Rica a startling lead. Costa Rica started to disrupt Japan's build-up in the second half and slowly found themselves gaining into the game. Following the victory, Costa Rica has moved up to third position in Group E, ahead of Germany. Japan is in second place, while Spain is currently in first.
