After his team defeated Canada 4-1, Croatia manager Zlatko Dalic cautioned his players against getting comfortable as they moved closer to the elimination round of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. With their victory on Sunday, the 2018 champions now just need a draw against Belgium in their last group match on Thursday to advance to the round of 16.
"We took a small step here, but we are far from our ultimate goal," Dalic told a news conference. "We must not accept the possibility of taking only one point from the match with Belgium. We should not be carried away by the euphoria."
