Bukayo Saka is set to start England's last-16 World Cup clash with Senegal
The forward was rested for England's last Group B match against Wales, in which Phil Foden and Marcus Rashford scored, but is expected to start against Senegal in the round of 16. Gareth Southgate plans to remain with the 4-3-3 shape that worked effectively for him throughout the group stages.Saka scored twice as England defeated Iran 6-2 in their opening World Cup group-stage play, but he was unable to score against the United States in the subsequent game.
To help Gareth Southgate's team reach the quarterfinals of a major tournament for the third time in a row, Saka will now start against Senegal on Sunday.
