Bruno Fernandes and Christian Eriksen of Manchester United dispute the decision to hold the World Cup in Qatar in 2022

Prior to the start of the World Cup next week, Manchester United players Bruno Fernandes and Christian Eriksen questioned Qatar's hosting of the event and the human rights concerns surrounding the nation.
In the competition, the two will represent Portugal and Denmark, respectively. On November 20, hosts Qatar will play Ecuador.
Concerns regarding the plight of low-paid migrant laborers hired to build the nation's infrastructure in the Gulf have also hampered the development.
FIFA urged World Cup teams in a letter this week to concentrate on the competition in Qatar and avoid moralizing or inserting football "into every ideological or political dispute that exists."
