Argentina leads 2-0 Mexico as Fernandez scores after a Messi stunner.

After the break, Argentina led 2-0 with to goals from Lionel Messi and the Enzo Fernandez which leads into their chances of advancing to the Round of 16 from Group C.

For the first 20 minutes of the second half, not much had changed. However, Lionel Messi's incredible goal gave the game new energy, and Mexico's response time after conceding was not quite adequate.
They can now secure a place in the round of 16 with just a draw against Poland. Mexico must now defeat Saudi Arabia in the group decider, most likely by a score of multiple goals, in order to have any hope of qualifying .
