According to former FIFA President Sepp Blatter, Iran shouldn't be permitted to participate in the World Cup.
According to a Swiss newspaper and online news website, Sepp Blatter, the former president of FIFA, believes Iran should be excluded from the 2018 World Cup in Qatar. The remarks came as Iran has been gripped by widespread demonstrations for several weeks as a result of Mahsa Amini's murder, 22, while being held by the morality police.
A reporter posed the following question to Blatter: "If you were still the FIFA president today, would you allow Iran—which is currently murdering young women on the streets and giving weapons to Russia to attack Ukraine—to participate in the World Cup?"
Blatter answered, "No," adding that he didn't think Gianni Infantino, the current FIFA President, had the guts to take a strong position on Iran.
